How does UPager work?
UPager uses peer-to-peer communication over your local network. Each computer running UPager can send alerts and messages to all other computers in real-time.
Do I need a server?
No! UPager works peer-to-peer. However, Pro users can optionally run our logging server for activity tracking.
Is my data secure?
Yes. All communication stays on your local network. Nothing is sent to external servers unless you enable optional cloud features.
How many people can use UPager?
Free: 5 computers, Pro: Unlimited, Enterprise: 30+ with special licensing.
Can I use it on Mac or Linux?
Most of the healthcare PMS works on Windows only. Currently Windows only. Mac version is on our roadmap for 2026.
What are the system requirements?
Windows 10 or later, 4GB RAM, 100MB disk space, network connection.
How do I activate my license?
File menu → License Manager → Enter key and email → Activate
Can I transfer my license?
Yes! Deactivate from old computer, activate on new one.
What happens if my license expires?
Annual licenses revert to free plan. Lifetime licenses never expire.
Why can't I see other computers?
Ensure all computers are on same network and Windows Firewall allows UPager.
